C&A challenge days 2 and 3

Day 2: Your favorite shirt.





I know this one's pretty boring looking, it's much cooler in person. It's a thin, grey with pinkish-corally stripes hi-lo top from forever21, but the cool part is that the whole back of the shirt has these seashell looking buttons down the length of it. yeah... still not that cool, but HEY- you can't help who you love.

Day 3: A piece of clothing or jewelry that was a gift.



these are both gifts from my dad from some little jewelry place in/near blackpool, england. (a necklace and silver bracelet with squares of the same seashell looking stuff as the buttons on the shirt.

summer reading.

it's been a long time since i've sat down and really committed to reading anything, probably because the past few semesters i've had a lot of reading required for school. but now i'm ALL done with english/literature classes, so i think it's due time to get back to reading for pleasure! the problem now being, i don't really have anything i'm super excited to read! so i looked around at some summer reading book suggestions from various colleges and started compiling a list. yesterday i went to the library and got the first 3 books (not actually the 3 that i most wanted to read from the list, seems a lot of people want to read them too, so most of the ones i put "!!!"'s by were all checked out), which i'll post below with the open request (to myself, because no one else looks at my blog) to suggest other books for my list! i'm starting with "A Secret Kept" by Tatiana De Rosnay because i read her novel "Sarah's Key" for my british lit class last summer, and figured if it were anything like that book that it will be an easy, quick read to get me back in the swing of reading!

Clothes & Accessories 30 Day Challenge!

Hi-llo! So I've decided to begin the challenge by the name posted above! I've been thinking about doing it for a while but my closet was always looking pretty scarce and messy and just, not good! However, with my cleaning (which has started to go in reverse unfortunately) I decided it'd be best to do it now. As far as I know this challenge was created by the Tumblr user "Dirtylittlestylewhoree", at least that's where I found out about it! I'll post the layout of the challenge, as well as the pictures for the first day below!

hello again! i just wanted to take a few minutes and write a little piece for father's day, which is actually not until tomorrow but i'd probably forget on the actual day of. normally i don't really care about these "smaller" / "hallmark" holidays, however, father's day i can kind of get into because my dad is probably the single most important person in my life. naturally, we have our ups-and-downs just as any relationship does, but those are pretty rare and they sort themselves out so i count myself to be one of the lucky ones in terms of dads. i'm not gonna go on a whole spill, but just know that i think the world of my dad- i'm very proud and thankful of the sacrifices he's made in my life to make sure i was always comfortable and happy! i don't know what the future holds for me in terms of love, and a husband, and all of that- but i know that if there is a guy in my future (i'm getting kinda doubtful at this point) that i can only hope he'll be half as amazing of a father to our children as my dad is to me!
